Skwalas are THE big spring draw for our area. Given our relative low elevation, our waters see good Skwalla stone dry fly action by the second week of March.  The critical element of this pattern is it’s low profile - sitting flat on the water. We’ll seek out long smooth flats and even back water eddies where the adult stones will drift slowly. Be patient as top end trout will hunt those areas snouts up.
